Concept board — 'The Cleave Skirt', contronym: to split apart / to cling together; the wrap skirt among cleft-rock, fabric and buckle references over the line 'rigidity yields to movement'.

Trend analysis — structured drape, juxtaposing matt and glossy textures, earthy palettes and sculptured silhouettes annotated across four styled references.

04 — A STUDY IN DUALITY

'A Study in Duality' spread — asymmetric leather skirt references and a leather-yoked plaid skirt, on how opposing materials coexist within one silhouette.

05 — MATERIAL BOARD

Material board — leather and suede options for the structured panel beside woollen checks and plaids for the drape, with vegan alternatives and minimalist hardware accents.

AW 26/27 colour board — core neutrals, seasonal shades and accent highlights, pinned beside the leather-and-plaid pairing.

07 — PLAID DEVELOPMENT

Plaid development process — seven steps from Scottish heritage research and sketches through colour, scale and weave tests to the final wool-blend twill with TCX yarn codes.

08 — DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

Design development — silhouette evolution flats, annotated front and side illustrations of the buckled wrap, fabric and texture studies and the buckle and hem detail study (option 1).'The Merging of textures' — the pleated variation drawn in motion on a dancer, walking illustrations and flats refining the buckle and wrap hemline (option 2).
